Review
Aroma – 9/12
Tangerine, peach and pineapple at a medium-high intensity. A bit of sharp hop greenness comes in next. High bitterness. The malt character is slightly sweet grainey with bread dough. Some flavors of grapefruit, lemon nuttiness and a hint of earthiness. The finish is quick leaving behind bitter pineapple.
Appearance – 2.5/3
Pours a deep yellowish gold liquid. A strong haze makes it nearly opaque. Fine white bubbles compose a modest head that fades with low retention. A thin ring persists.
Flavor – 13/20

Mouthfeel – 3/5
Medium carbonation prickles the roof of the mouth. An average body throughout the taste, thinning out a little towards the end. The finish leaves a chalky feeling.
Overall Impression – 6/10
A different take on an IPA. The pineapple and citrus notes here are really nice, though I’m not a fan of the hop harshness (burn). The bitterness seems a bit high for the associated malt sweetness. It does finish with a good dryness, which I like seeing in hazy IPAs.
Rating – 33.5/50
I’m starting to think that I might not like Sabro hops much. A lot of IPAs I try with them have harshness that doesn’t work well on my palate. The flavor and aroma here are nice though.
